6 week post op appointment?

Can someone tell me what to expect my surgeon to do at my 6 week checkup? Will he just check my incision and ask questions? Or will he check me internally?

Yes i think you are right as i have been running the sweeper alittle, also little other things i probablyshouldn't. My husband is helping SO much though and i feel its to much for him when he also works 8 hours a day. He never complains though. I will be 7 weeks monday and my drs appt is tomorrow. When i talked to his Pa she said he would only check incision site and go over reports with me and wouldnt do an internal. Could she have been fibbing?

belle10 -Your pains sound like the same thing I went through around week 5 for me. Come to find out my pain was caused from doing too much. It's hard when I didn't really know my limits :-) My doctor/surgeon did an internal on my 2 week and 6 week post-op appointment.

jazzy6 - I still would not do any lifting at work though. When is your 6 week post-op appointment - this Monday? I would ask about the pelvic pain.

This coming monday will be 6 weeks for me, and if i dont have any more pain on my right lower pelvic area i think i would feel fine enough to go back to work, so i think if your not having any complications you should be fine. I am hoping my pain is just from over excursion or sprain, today and yesterday totally pain free and feel great. Hope you do to!!!

I had internal at 2 week 6 week  and I will have another at 12 weeks.
I didnt see surgeon, but Physian Assistant, I will see surgeon on 12 week.
They check you all over and talk to you and you need to make a list if you can't remember any questions you have.  I was told I had to wait another 2 weeks to bend over etc at my 6 week, cause I was still bleeding.

What my surgeon did was check the incisions and went over the lab results and my restrictions. I did not have an internal check. It took about 10 minutes.
