Does anyone that uses Adalat for high blood pressure notice that it goes in the same way it comes out in all shape and form !!!!    I'm just wondering if this can do damage.  Thanks

Not sure if you ever took it or not but I've been on it a very long time and I can tell you that it does NOT absorb after taking.   Whatever is in it is taking my blood pressure down but it still comes out the same way it went in.  Thanks for responding.

Hi, Adalat is nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker. Nifedipine is completely absorbed after oral administration. The elimination half-life of nifedipine administered as Adalat CC (nifedipine) is approximately 7 hours. So, its unlikely that the medication can be excreted as such, but check with your doctor to rule out any malabsorption syndromes and also if your hypertension is adequately controlled. Regards.
