MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
A total abdominal hysterectomy removes your uterus through an incision in your lower abdomen and it also removes the cervix. Sometimes a hysterectomy includes removal of one or both ovaries and fallopian tubes, a procedure called total hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy.

Abdominal hysterectomy usually requires a hospital stay of one to two days, but it could be longer. Don't lift anything heavy for a full six weeks after the operation and also avoid strenuous exercise and intercourse for 6 weeks after the operation.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi there,

What do the letters TAH stand for ? I can't offer you an opinion if I don't
know what kind of surgery you're having. I wish you luck though. Eve
