Can i demand a hystorectmy?

I'm 40yo I have debilitating painful periods with really really heavy bleeding. 4 out of 6 of my aunts on my dad's side had cervical cancer and my mom had it as well. I already had a tubal ligation. Can I tell my Dr I want a full hystorectmy? I don't want to try meds that may not work. I just don't want this pain or possibility of cancer at some point. I want all my lady bits out asap can I ask them to do that?
I'm so over meds that dont work

It sounds like a reasonable request, at the very least the doc might suggest uterine ablation.  I assume you are certain you do not want any (more) children?
