Help...Please

I had an abdominal hysterectomy more than 1 1/2 years ago and have gained substantial weight around my midsection. Prior to this surgery, I had to have an emergency C-Section so I have been cut both vertically and horizontally twice. Are there ANY exercises that can be done? Even after all this time, I feel so "loose" in my abdomen. When I exercise on the treadmill, I still have to wear a binder because my midsection is so weak. Any help would be valuable to me. Thanks in advance

Treadmills are wonderful for burning calories and cardio vascular exercise. To firm up the belly abdomen your going to have to do some old fashioned situps, and what ever other abdominal strenghtening exercises you may know I would urge you to get your drs advice on this due to the prior surgerys. Have you considered joining a gym? Its sometimes easier to loose when your in a group setting. and they have advisors,

Wow, I have been through almost the exact same experience.  I had my first c-section in 2006 with no problems.  With the birth of my second child I had an emergency c-section to get him out in Jan 2009.  I was cut in a T shape so that they could get him out safely ( I had already been pushing for 2 hours without him budging at all. So anyway, I got an infection due to the 2nd c-section and had a surgery to fix that problem.  I ended up getting a TAH leaving only one ovary 2 months after my son's c-section.  I too have this horrible "tire" of fat/skin from my belly button down to my scar.  I actually have no feeling it it at all.  I hate this extra weight so much, but even working out only helps my other areas and doesn't seem to touch the belly.  I don't know what to do!
