Hysterectomy risks

I had a partial hysterectomy when I was 27.  Everything but my left ovary was removed.  My right ovary was enlarged and that was where the majority of my pain was coming from at the time.  I am 34 now and have been struggling for the last couple years with cysts developing on my remaining ovary.  I am almost always in some kind of pain.  I had surgery last August to remove a cyst.  My ovary had also attached itself to my intestine and the adhesions were wrapped around the cyst causing the pain to be worse.  After the surgery I felt some relief for a while, but two months ago it started up again.  I thought maybe there was more to the problem, so I went to a gastroenterologist to make sure there wasn't anything else going on.  They ran a bunch of tests and found normal function of all the organs in the area.  But what do you know, there are two more cysts.  One that grew over a centimeter in a week between the ultrasound and the CT scan.  I'm going to make an appointment with my gynecologist and discuss my options with him, but I'm seriously considering having the ovary removed.  I don't want to be in pain all the time.  I am nervous about about HRT though.  I've heard lots of scary stories about women going through severe depression after losing their natural hormones at such a young age.  I'm curious about other women's experiences who have gone through a full hysterectomy in their 30's.
