Is it safe

I'm 22 I have a paraovarian cyst on my right ovary and on my left ovary I have a cyst . I sawyer obgyn back in march and she said that I can possibly have adenomyosis . Then I had a transvaginal ultrasound done and the report from it said that my uterus is midly heterogenous . Do u think my doctor is going to recomend a hystectomy ? I'm 22 yrs old and have 2 bbys already . I've tried soany different birth control but the hormones in them affect me badly :( would a hysterectomy affect me cuz of the hormones being all over the place ? I'm very sensitive to hormones :(

Hi
I can tell your quite worried and that is normal, a paraovarian cyst is not acutally on the ovary rather close to it usually on the tubes..hence the prefix "para" meaning false as in not really on the ovary on a area very close to it.

Its not abnormal to be so frightened of surgery as I indicated in one of your prior posts Yes i do think your looking at a surgery. Adenomyosis has no cure other than removal of uterus. It will progress and get larger. As I indicated to you before please do a search even on this site about the DaVinci Robotic method of hysterectomy. If you can keep atleast one ovary at your young age this would help you to not go onto an instant menopause.

It sounds like my other suggestion of injections of Leupron would likely not be a good idea for you, Please before you have any surgery get two opinions. do not give the second dr the first drs opinion , let them draw their own,.

If this is going to take awhile and you continue to be so worried I think you should discuss with your general practioner about getting some short term anti anxiety medication, are you sleeping, eating ok?

I notice you posted on the drs forum as well as here a few times, Im hoping you are getting some answers that are helping you. Im very glad for you that you, have already had children, it saddens me when young ladies need this surgery and have not had a chance to be a mother.

when you find out whats going to happen I will be here for you, I can walk you through the surgery with great pre and post op advice.

If you need to talk please go to my home page and pm me. I understand I have been in your shoes,
'
hugs
