Just wanting some feedback

I am facing the removal of my right ovary and just wanting to hear from others that have went through the same operation (or similar). My Doc says the ovary is the size of a grapefruit and has multiple cysts. We've tried the birth control pills with no results. l am 29 years old and have had my tubes tied about 5 years ago so i'm not having anymore kids. I'm just wondering about recovery time. Is it similar to Gall bladder removal?

There are other ways to remove ovaries which are less recovery time, such as laparoscopic for example.  That would not be as bad as gallbladder.

Recovery time is the same as almost any surgery which is roughly 6 weeks.
