LAVH

I am to have a LAVH on March 17, 2007.  I am keeping my ovaries and my questions are will I have any more periods after I have the procedure and How will the surgery affect my sex life? I am really scared because I have read so many bad things about this surgery.  Please give me some answers before I have it done.  Thanks

You wull however bleed post op  and can do so up to 6 weeks.  You are keeping ovaries so you won't have to deal with hormone issues as so many do.  A period is the building up of blood vessels in your uterus in preparation for a pregnancy. If you do not have the uterus you won't have any more periods.  Some women say sex is better. It is an individual thing....if you liked it before you will after. If you ddn't etc

No you will not have periods after the surgery, and no it will not effect your sex life. Most women report that their sex life is better have the surgery then it was before.
