LOOKING FOR A DIAGNOSIS

I AM A 43 YEAR OLD WHO HAS RECENTLY HAD A CT SCAN OF MY ABDOMEN.  I WAS TOLD
BY MY GASTROLOGIST THAT I HAVE A CYST OR TUMOR ON MY UTERUS.  WHAT COULD THIS BE?  THIS CAME OUT OF NOWHERE SINCE I AM NOT HAVING ANY TROUBLE IN THAT AREA.  I WAS DIAGNOSED IN OCTOBER AS MENOPAUSAL AND I HAVEN'T HAD A PERIOD SINCE AUGUST 2007.  COULD THIS BE CANCER?  I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS.

I WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH ACID REFLUX DISEASE, HIATAL HERNIA, SPASTIC COLON.

Like jml had said - don't get yourself worked up over it. I have to agree as well about cysts being common because they are - about 95% of cysts are benign. Instead of a Gastro doctor you need to see a OB/GYN doctor for the cyst.

The only way to really know is to have a viginal ultersound done. Cysts are very common so I would see a ob/gyn before you get yourself worked up over it. I had several cysts in my uterous before I had my hysterectomy.
