another option would be taking leupron , it puts you into a temporary menopause, usually alowing cycts to cease.. you will likely need an abdominal as well as transvaginal ultrasound.
before a hysterectomy, consider a diagnostic laproscopic then you can find out if your cyst is functional or not also if any abhesions or scar tissue are involved.

If you only end up with one "bad' ovary you would need only to have that ovary removed an Oopherectomy. You really dont want a full hysterectomy unless neccessary. That is major surgery. One ovary can be done out-patient lparoscopic and 1=4 week completely recovered.

hiyas
most cysts are what they call "functional" and their job is to
release eggs so a woman can make a baby a woman has at
least one of these functional cysts her entire reproductive life
so if u dont believe that this is what u have can u find a gyn ?
ask him to do a "transvaginal ultrasound" as well as a "bimanual
exam" and a "pap smear" ... please dont stop until u find out
why u are in pain :)
