Pain Pain Pain

Back in jan. 08 i had a hysterectomy they only took my uterus. Back in 2006 i had my tubes cut and tied after i had my son because i didn't want no more kids. Well all of a sudden i started having really bad periods. So this went on for about 3 years. I couldn't take no more.I have been on all the birth control i could think of and estrogen. Nothing was helping me. I bled from October till Janurary of 09. I finally went in the docs office and yelled at him. He was like well i didn't realize you were here all this time for that. Well duh so he did the surgery.  After he did the surgery he said oh there were fibroids on your uterus. But my question is can i still have symptoms of getting my period. Which i don't get anymore? Plus this past week i have been having really bad pains in my left side where my ovary is sometimes it gets so bad that i can't stand but i have to push myself.I'm still on a lifting restriction because i didnt go back to get a docs note to be off it so im not lifting. They had told me before that i had cysts that come and go but how would i know if they stay? Im just looking for someone to give me some advice. Thanks

I am not sure I really understand your situation, you had a hysterectomy in Jan of 08 and are still on non lifting restrictions? I dont quite understand part of your question about the getting period like symptoms,,if you mean cramping and pain..yes that can happen from endometrial tissue left behind, scar tissue or adhesions,

As for your ovary it sounds like you have whats commonly called a "functional cyst" I had one on one of my ovaries and they can be extreamly painful,,,These cysts can ru[ture which hurts really bad, or they can twist and turn around the ovary this is called torsion, also very painful....I put up with pain from such for 2 years and I finally had my ovaries removed. I let them take my healthy right ovary and I regret that..
