Phantom periods

I am 35 and had a partial Hyst. a year ago.  About three months ago I started having symptoms of PMS, mood swings, back ache, stomache cramps and bloating.  It is occuring at the same time as my regular cycle would have been.  If this is Phantom Periods, what causes it and can it be prevented?

HI,
You need to first check whether your symptoms are due to PMS or due to some other reason. PMS can be prevented with the use of HRT or hormone replacement therapy. Consult your Doctor for a thorough evaluation. Hope this helps.
Take care & good luck.
