Temp after hytorectomy

I had a hysterectomy one week tomorrow, my temperature has been 99 and up. Last night it went up to 101.5 and i woke up in a pile of sweat. Today it was 100.3 after i took a nap and took my meds it was up to 102.4. I called my Dr. and the nurse said i could come in or wait till my appointment tomorrow. I have no back up for my kids at this time so i am going to try to wait till tomorrow. Along with the fever i have had lower back pain and can't get comfortable. Any suggestions what might be going on?

A fever following a surgery is definitely a concerning thing.  Hopefully it's just that you caught a bug, but it's possible you could have an infection.
