bleeding years after a hysterectomy

i had a hysterectomy 8 years ago and have recently had some blood loss from the vagina what can this be

Hi above poster is correct you need to see dr,,,,two possibilities come to mond but it could be any number of things...most common is the vaginal tissue becomes dry especially as the years pass and we become a bit older post hyster,,,if your sexually active its possible the bleeding could be from tears from not enoung lubrication,,,,,,other thought if cervix was removed they create what is called the cervical cuff,,,this can rip a bit and cause bleeding also both easy fixes but please do see your dr asap,

Any vaginal bleeding after hysterectomy needs to be seen by your MD. It could be many different things, minor or much more significant.
