don't want hysterectomy

hi i am 34, have one child and was just diagnosed with adenomyosis.  i do not want a hysterectomy, and my doctor prescribed proveran for 5 days.  while pregnant i had a dvt...is there anyway to combat symptoms of adenomyosis (i think that what has caused this months period to last 22 days, and still counting) without having a hysterectomy?  i still want to have a child...obviously i can't take hormones on a regular basis due to dvt.  your opinion would be very helpful.
thanks

there are two ways that Im aware of to treat andeomyosis one is with Leupron which is a hormone that throughs you into a drug induced menopause many women have adverse effects to it such as extreme crying spells etc....

the other option is hysterectomy....I know not good choices...

your third choice would be to suffer with the andeomyosis try for another baby and possisly get a hysterectomy after childs birth...talk to your gyno,,,,,I know andeo doesnt make it immpossible to get pg....may make it harder...

Please get other opinions and do a TON of research.  A hysterectomy is a VERY drastic solution to any symptom or problem and causes many other issues in itself.

I had andeomyosis it was the final reason for my hyster on top of endo for years and the pain of reoccuring ovarian cysts a hysterectomy is a very painful surgery most recover in 6 weeks I recently had 2 poster who said they felt almost fine after 1st week thats rare some women take several ( 4-6) months to recove that is also rare.

I am not aware of many surgeries that do not cause problems in and of them selves,,,for example gallbladder removal usually causes pts to not be able to eat certain foods hip and knee replacements cause tons of pain and a long time in rehab physility I guess what Im saying is all surgery even a simple tonsilectomy has risks and side effects...most any person I would just assume knows that.

do educate yourself for many female problems there are alternative or atleast ways of delaying the surgerie..unfortunatley unless you go on leupron which will through you right into  a chemically induced menopause your uterus will continue to grow eachand every month with the andeomyosis there are only two cures,,,leupron or a hysterectomy the tissus is trapped in a different manner than endometriosis its impossible to surgically remove the tissue only.
