My doctor said ok short distance driving after 3 weeks, but main concern was if I could slam on the brakes and control car if necessary. 3 weeks post-op but still too scared to try driving. Luckily my MIL is here to drive me around! Good luck and be safe

I had my abdominal hysterectomy also on November 4. I was told I could drive after 4 weeks. If you feel like you can then I would say try it. However if you are taking pain meds still, then i would not drive while still taking them.
