infections

i had a total abdominal hysterectomy in aug 2008 but now where the incision is it itches and is red and sore

incisions normally itch as they heal and normally are sore also. however yours should be completley healed.   Is the red running in a line like its streaking upwads?  
Do you have a fever?

I am thinking there is a chance this redness is someother sorce of concern is it blotchy or shaped like squares...I wonder could you possibly have shingles...If you have a fever call for a today appointment with your doctor..If not Id advise you to call describe your redness and get his advise...Any recent trauma to the abdomen?
