lump in interior vaginal wall

Is it normal to have a dull pain in your abdominal area just above your bladder?  I have also, noticed a small pea sized lump in my vaginal wall.  I had gone to the doc to see if the pain was a uti (I have a history of kidney stones that caused an infection so I try to stay on top of that) but he said, there were leukocytes but no bacteria or blood.  I am still in pain though and noticed this lump after my appointment.  I am about five years out of a radical hysterectomy and I am wondering if it is scarring or something though the lump is definately round.  Cyst maybe??  I hate to run back to the doctor since I was just there and he didn't find anything really that would cause it. He suggested that maybe my hormones are off and ran some blood tests.  I should hear back on that tomorrow. The lump is painful but again, I have this dull pain in the whole area so I don't know if the area is just sore or if it's the actual lump.  Has anyone experienced this or have similar issues?

there are many kinds of cysts yes ovaries get what called functional cysts, they can be painful sometimes go away on own,

but thatsnot what may be happening to you cysts are often formed in mucous tissue areas due to a blocked pore, they are similar to a pimple or boil but different too, more internal a deeper layer of skin, they are usually fluid filled.

There is another type of cyst called ganglion its usually on the hand or wrist area, its interesting filled with semi solid clear colored  substance.

Sorry to hear your in such pain, did your dr give you advice how to deal with it until appointment time, ? have you tried soaking in a hot tub ? if that does not help sometimes an ice pack on the uterus area helps.
Yes having wbc in urine indicates infection.

When I had my hyster, my room mate was an older lady she was 80 something, just a tiny little thing, she had a cyst the size of a "grapefruit" removed, it was begnine as most cysts are, she recovered faster than I did and her cyst was on her ovary, she was a trooper,
I would advise you to keep up your normal routine unless. 1. Your pain is not controlled with otc meds.2. a fever over 100.5, 3, the pressure feeling increases and feels wrong to you as in an instictive feeling, always go with your gut,

If any of those things happen phone your dr, go to an urgent care clinic or ER if you must also if you should begine bleeding very heavy, I am confident they will diagnosis this quickly for you. Good luck , hope you get some relief with a new hormone dose too,Cherie..

Its so hard to get hormones right and so relieving once you do , I have been lucky so far things change, as the years go on.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I didn't get a chance to read it before the doctor called me back though.  He said, that my testosterone and progesterone were very low.  I would think that is probably correct since I am a few years post hysterectomy.  I do take Estradiol but that's it.  However, what causes these "cysts" if that is what it is?  I always thought cysts came from undeveloped eggs or something to do with ovulation.  My regular doctor did say to go to the gyno for this and I set up an appointment for next week.  It hurts like I am having menstral cramps.  It hurts in my bladder area the most but I can still work so I think I will be fine to wait until next week.  Maybe, I will get lucky and it will go away on it's own. Oh, the leukocytes were in my urine and not the blood.  Does that matter?

It does sound like a cyst, if it was on the outside of vagina near labia major Id say its likely a bartolins cyst, those hurt bad!

I am not qualifed to diagnosis of corse but I can give my opinion and stear you in the right direction. If your dr is phoning you tommrow , I would think you could wait. Do not use tampons or be sexually active until you get a diagnois on this.

Yup Drs are so quick to balme everything on Maybe hormones, I  kinda doubt it in this case. Yes your hormones may be low butI have never in almost a year seen a correlation between low hormones a "lumps".

everyone has leukocytes in blood,(white blood cellsthey are involved in immune system and function by destroying "foreign" substances such as bacteria and viruses. When an infection is present, the production of WBCs increases. Did you get a number of WBC?

If you should develop symptoms of illness such as persistant nausea or a fever over 100.5 I would say phoe the dr.and of corse if the pain should become unbearable go to the er.

I have had a few cysts, there are several different types, the bartholins that I had grew soooo fast, it was peas sized one day a walnut size the next and so big by day three I landed in a clinic where they lanced , drained and put me on antibiotics.

I am fairly certain you have nothing serious to worry about, I know thats easy to say !! Cysts in the vagina what ever the type usually do hurt andsometimes need to be lanced sometimes meds, sometimes surgically removed. this is a minor surgery if it does happen.

Let m know tommrow how you are.Good luck, Cherie
