sex after hysteretomy?

sex after hysteretomy?

I understand there is to be no sexual penetration for 6 weeks after a hysterectomy. What about the effects of orgasm? Should i be waiting 6 weeks as well??? Hoping for some feedback here...Thanks.

We waited 10 weeks after hysterectomy before having sex and it was still uncomfortable for a while with some bleeding too. It's not so bad now but I don't often reach orgasm now and when I do it feels different somehow. I still want sex but could easily live without it these days

A post hysterectomy orgasm is still possible just not with the uterine contactions...not quite as pleasurable , but we must look on the positive, we still have a g spot and we still have a clitoris.
As for penetration the standard rule is 6 weeks and with your doctors approval after exam.As it is certainly obvious one could do some very serious self harm if the body is slow to heal for whatever the reason.

If you are wanting to have or try to have an orgasm without any form of vaginal penetration, it might be best to wait until your 6 wk post op check up.

Orgasm do feel different-there is no uterus so if you had uterine contractions during an orgasm, you want have that anymore.  To me it is still a pleasurable feeling but it does feel a little different.
