100% wait the full six weeks. I have heard horror stories about tears after sex. Sex is great but certainly not worth having another major surgery over!

Definitely wait the full six weeks.  I had a complete hysterectomy on 12/2/09.  I was told no sex for at least 6 weeks or until I got the ok from the doc.... I've read way too many posts where people didn't wait the full 6 weeks and ended up with infections like crazy.  It just isn't worth it to me.  I have had "external orgasms" as we have played around - everything but actual intercourse.  Some say after hysterectomy, orgasms don't feel as good - especially if uterus is removed because ya no longer have uteran contractions.  But I'm here to tell ya.... in my case... the orgasms are MUCH better - more intense and last longer!  I don't know why.  I have no explanation.  But I love my hysterectomy =)

Yes, wait the full six weeks. Your still healing and you need to wait for your six week checkup for your Dr to give you the okay to have sex.
I'm glad to hear your surgery went so well and your feeling great. Take care. Remar
