Hi,
How are you?  There are many risk factors for stroke including age, race, family history of stroke, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, overweight, cardiovascular diseases, smoking and  use of birth control use or other hormone therapy. These factors as well as risks and benefits of hormone therapy are often considered prior to any intake of any medication.  While some studies show that estrogen are neuroprotective in stroke models, further tests may need to be done. Hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
