tvt sling failure

I saw  a doctor due to having severe uterine prolapes, with a rectocele and cystocele.  On October 31, 2007 I had a vaginal hysterectomy with BSO, A&P Repair and TVT Sling.  Had some incontinence after the surgery and dificulty with weak urine flow, etc.  Never quite "felt right" but attrributed it to the swelling after surgery.  At 2nd post op appointment doctor seemed to think I had healed OK.  Felt alright for about 1 or 2 days after appointment, then began having abdominal discomfort and soreness/irritation inside the vagina on the rt side.  Then began to feel another cystocele protruding from my vagina.  Doctor confirmed this and said the TVT sling must have  come loose on one side.  Said the options were a pessary or more surgery.  I will see her again on Wednesday due to these problems getting worse.  I am really questioning what I should do.  It concerns me that she said nothing about the effects of leaving the sling in place if it has come lose and what problems might be encountered.  If the sling can't be reattached, shouldn't it be removed?  I guess I really don't know the right questions to ask.  I was very careful to follow the doctors orders and didn't do any lifting or almost anything after surgery.

If you have not had your questions answered to your satisfaction you should get on the phone and have them answered.  They use a meterial that is environment friendly, so I would not think it would in of itself cause a problem, thats not to say it definately could not........anything is possible....it was not there from birth............but if you ask me.......this soon after surgery I would say the surgeon should make it right.......maybe he/she did not suture properly.....get answers!
