uterine polyp bleeding -post menopausal -tamoxifen

I am 49, history of noninvasive breast cancer, stage 0 at age 45. Took tamoxifen for 3 1/4 years - discontinued tamoxifen 3 weeks ago due to vaginal heavy spotting/light bleeding. Cervix is healthy. Both ovaries removed also at age 45 due to questionable cyst (benign). Procedure in ob-gyn office to biopsy uterus - it was a thin suctioning tube through cervix - proved benign. Vaginal ultrasound with saline in uterus showed fibroid and polyp. Polyp is bleeding he said. Scheduled for D&C with hysteroscopy. NO TAMOXIFEN to feed the polyp now, I PREFER TO WAIT and see if bleeding continues and AVOID SURGERY (I also have SLE -lupus and connective tissue disease, so my recovery will be harder that normal). IS THIS ADVISABLE?
