weight gain after Laparoscopy

So this past weekend I went to the ER and found out I was suffering from ovarian torsion. I'm 28 and not sure what to expect. I was told that recovery can take up to 6 wks and that's it. I'm worried because I weighed myself, 3 days after the surgery, and I'm almost 8lbs heavier. I was on an all liquid diet while there and just been out of the hospital about a half a day. is this normal and what else can i expect?

I gained 10lbs since my surgery and all of it within 2 days after my surgery, I was told that this is normal due to all the IVs and all the addtional fluids given during surgery. I am now 1 wk 4 days post surgery and the weight gain has remained. I too want to know what to expect. Will this weight gain continue?
