Injection in wrong site

I went to my family Dr. today to get my 5 year Pneumovax booster. The nurse gave the injection probably about where the deltoid muscle attatches. I am a nurse for 35 years so I know it was not down in the deltoid muscle where it belongs. I felt pressure when she gave it. I have had cortisone injections in my rotator cuff area for tears so I thought it felt similar. There might be a hairs breath between my joint and the injection site. Will the pneumovax be effective in this area?  I took a couple Ibuprofen because there is a small hematoma there and it aches so I did this prophylactically. Thanks, Linda
