I wrote this a while ago and have not received a response until yours.
I am sorry to hear of your husband's reaction to the vaccine.
No, I have not taken the vaccine although my doctor has advised me to do it. I am just a little unsure about it. Your husband's reaction certainly does not convince me to have the vaccine. I don't know why we haven't seen more interest in this either in health reports or responses on this site. Perhaps older people do not participate on this site or their doctors are not suggesting the vaccination or they don't know about it. My doctor advised me to have it only after I asked him about it. Thanks for your response.
Hello,
Doing a search on shingles vaccinations/reactions and came across your old (March '08) post. Hoped there might be other respondents. See none.
Wondered -- did you ever get the vaccine? If so, how did it go for you?
My husband received one this Feb. ('09) and it has affected him very adversely. Months of serious and confusing symptoms later, and disability, we finally got confirmation today via a top neurologist. And, he is not alone. In this medical group alone, 2 others similarly affected/afflicted in recent months.
If you or others see this, would be interested in any comments or experiences.
