ADHD/ADD affects over 4 million people world wide. What once was thought as childhood issue has proven that you don't just "grow out of it".
Now being dieagnosed in our late 30's and 40's we have to re-learn life skills so fit into a world that seeks to conform us.
Our biggiest issue is that we are perceived to the dis of the order of things, therefore feeling left out and ostracized for being different.
Our lot in life is not just to make sense of how we perceive things, but to work within realtionships and learn social cues. Somthing that most of us have no idea how we missed it in the first place. You know, the little comments made behind someone's back or whispered in the locker room. They might not have been talking about us, but it sure felt like they were, all the time.
What about trying so hard and failing so often that you just decided to give up. What about that drive from within that kept you going after everybody else gave up. You got the answer eventually, but everybody else had allready left.
What about our frustration levels that send to blow up into volcanos regardless of who is around?
How many jobs have we had because we've gotten bored and needed a new challenge?
What about the dark fractured place where you go after you have had enough. How do you find your way back?
Are you a touchy feeley person that senses the touch of another as a way of grounding?
What does it take for you to feel grounded?
How many of us self medicate with drugs or alcohol and it's gotten us in trouble?
Are you tired of feeling like the only one?
Are you tired of trying so hard to be lovable only to be rejected?
This is the place for you,
Join my rants about how I'm feeling today and share with us what your day was like.
WIth somone on our side, we can do anything and that includes surviving for the next day.
Cheers, Melunie324
