Change for the Weight Tracker setup

I am diabetic and try to maintain carb grams and fat grams at a lower level than the weight tracker shows.  Can Medhelp institute a change that will allow an individual user to enter in how many fat grams, carb grams, fiber grams, sodium grams, and calories they are trying to track to follow their individual diet?  Medhelp could have minimums and maximums for safe medical reasons.  For example, you could go with 120 carb grams,15 or 20 fat grams, and 1000 or 1200 calories for minimums.  You could leave your current entries for maximums (or raise some of them for people who might be trying to gain weight.  You could have only certain options availablefor users to choose depending on the information users are required to enter that would indicate whether they are trying to lose or gain weight.

I think you make this so difficult to find that nobody knows it's there.  It's not listed with the other forums, nor does it have a tab at the top.  I don't know how i found it in the first place.  The only way I can find it now is to click on my own suggestion which shows up on my pate.  It seems that perhaps you don't really want any suggestions for improvment?.

Hi there -

Are you referring to a weight loss tracker or the Food Diary tracker?  The Food Diary does allow you to set your goals for carbs, fat, fiber, sodium, and calories. Just go to the Food Diary and click Settings and then change the values to whatever you want them to be.

We also automatically add the Improve MedHelp Suggestions forum to everyone's shortcuts.  Most people might not visit it unless they have an idea for a suggestion, though.

I didn't know about the settings, thank you for bringing it to my attention.  I have now  adjusted them, however I was actually referring to the reports and graphs that still show the line way above and beyond what I'm trying to follow on my diet

Hi there -

When we look at your tracker, we see that everything is matched up to your set guidelines.  Can you pinpoint exactly what you are referring to?

If you'd rather, you can PM me with this if you don't want to say anything here.

I'm referring to the blue lines on the reports or graphs.  They don't reflect the totals I set up on my profile.  For example, my preference for calories is 1200, but the blue line on the report or graph is still showing on 2000 calories.  I think it would be more effective if these lines adjusted to the amounts I set in my preferences.  It would be easier to see how I was doing without actually looking too carefully at the numbers.

I'm sorry, I'm not terribly computer literate and I don't know how to PM.

Thanks for your interest and assistance.

On your tracker, under Settings, the 7th option down is " Daily Calories:
Calculate automatically Enter my own"  You have chosen "calculate automatically", and if you want your reports to reflect your chosen amount, then choose "Enter my own".

I hope that resolves this for you, but let us know if it doesn't.

Thanks!

Thank you very much.  That did solve my problem!  If I can figure out how, I will remove my original question.

Again, thanks.  You've been incredibly helpful and patient.
