How do you join a community? Is it just by asking a question and that would make you a member??
Askin' a question will automatically put you In the community, or, when you comment/answer a question In that community, underneath the "Post a comment" button, but on the left hand side, there Is a check box with two options, "add to watch list" or "Join Community" check "join community" and then post your comment and you'll join It. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, by posting you are automatically joined. Also, keep in mind if you'd like to receive e-mail updates, be sure to check off the "watch this discussion" in the post and anytime there's activity, you will receive an update.
