I was diagnosed with diabeties over four years ago.  I am currently on meds and inject insulin.  The best thing you can do is READ LABELS.  By knowing the amount of carbohydrates in the foods you are eating, it will help you.  If you are able to use the services of a nutriotinst, they are great help to educate you.  Certain foods breakdown quicker than other ( for example whole wheat bread quicker than white bread).

Please let me know if anyone has any specific questions.

THANKS.. you can email directly at ***@****

Hi there, do you know what type of insulin your husband will be going on?  It is very important that he understands how the insulin works with food.  Another words, there is usually a ratio of insulin to carbohydrates that he will be given.  It does take ahwile to learn how to regulate your insulin.  Make sure that he tests often until he educates himself. Also,  if he does inject too much insulin, his levels will be too low.  Make sure that he always has glucose tablets with him in case this happens.

Keep me updated and let me know specific question you would like answered.

I have had Diabetes for over 10 years now. Having the tracker would surely be a possitive for me. I would be more inclined to test my glucose more then I do. Don't like the little book anymore.
Thank you
