Isn't there a way to receive e-mails every time there's a new post or question on topics you're watching or tracking?

But I think you only get the notifications once per day about your "watched" posts, at least that's how it works for me.

I thought that just added them on your home page not in your email.
Its more than possible I'm mistaken.

The only thing that comes in my email is notifications about pms and notes

I use to get the email notifications when I first joined the forum, but haven't received any in several months.

Tagging onto epicrose's suggestion, you can change your settings to receive notifications as things happen by clicking "Settings" at the top of your profile page.  Check the box that says "Notify me by email regarding watch list changes" and then choose either "once a day" or "as they happen".

Hope this helps!

You can also see updates from your home page if you click on Watch List in the widget/box on the left side of the page.

I was about to post this to the person who asked the question, until I realized it was me!  That's how much fun we're having around here, a sad state of affairs indeed.  I took the steps recommended by Claire, only to discover that I didn't have anything checked as far as updates, etc.  No wonder I wasn't getting them!  Now I will.  Thank you!
