Expert Forums

I am not sure if I understand the purpose of the Expert Forums. I think it is a wonderful idea to be able to ask a professional about sometihng on an online site. But the expert forum I visited would not allow me to ask a question or comment on other posts. Am I missing something?

The closed forums are a relatively new issue, and we are working to correct that as soon as we can.  We don't like closed forums either.

Some threads may be closed to new posts, which is common if the thread is in an expert forum and is older.  We do that because people like to call up old posts to ask their own questions, and it gets way too confusing.

The Self Improvement forum is closed, but Mental Health shouldn't be.  I'll check into that.    The Mental Health forum doesn't have a fee associated with it to ask a question.

Closed forums? I didn't read about that when I researched this website. I didn't realize there was a fee associated with the expert forum. I mean afterall isn't this website helping the professionals build their portfolio? The expert forum that I am speaking about is the Self Improvement and Mental Illness forums. The posts that I seen answered by the professionals were not very detailed. They basically said contact your doctor. I wanted to add my opinion because I felt it would of helped more- but it was closed.

Hi April -

Some of our Expert forums are closed at the moment for staffing problems.  If you let me know what forum it was, I can let you know if that forum is open or not.

If you want, you can PM me.

In expert forums you should be able to ask a question but there is a fee that is associated with it. What forum did you go to?
