Many (most?) forums do not allow members to edit or remove posts. A few permit editing immediately after posting. It members were allowed to continually change their posts, then the threads would quickly become nonsensical, and a few members would post attacks on other members or intentionally incorrect information, and then return and delete the information before the community leaders may see it. That would result in a lot of recriminations and difficulty in keeping the forums focused on the topic.

what a lame answer
Thanks for the suggestion. Many members have suggested this as well. If you are looking to edit your posts BEFORE anyone else has commented on them, this is an item we have on our to-do list. If you are looking to edit a post AFTER someone has commented, this will likely not be a feature that we implement. By allowing you to edit a post after someone else has commented changes the discussion and conversation between members. If you need to clarify something or correct an inaccuracy, you can also add a comment to the post.
