I am brand  new to this site. I am finding that it has a lot of what I look for in an online healthcare support site. I am also  impressed that a woman is the co founder of such a huge online site that supports 4 million visitors per year. I was also impressed to see that users went from 53% in 2005 to 71% in 2007. Awesome!

I apologize if this is a question that could have been answered by doing more research, but is there a group for new members? I think this would be a good idea. It would be a great way for new members to make new friends. :-)

Thanks!

I have done some lite consulting for several other smaller online support sites and I always recommened a group that is new member friendly. Online Support Sites can become a vital resource tool in overcoming health challenges. It is a huge support system for many members. It is important to make the new members feel welcome. Not to mention it helps build a friendly culture.

I have created my own New Member Group. Check it out here:

We don't have a group for newbies, but that's a good idea.  In the meantime, we do have a MedHelp Social forum, and a Women's Social forum, along with some other topic-specific Social forums.  See our forum list to find those - http://www.medhelp.org/forums/list

Thanks for the kind words about MedHelp.  :)
