One thing you might try, if your computer is a laptop, is to sign in from another location (such as a coffeeshop or somethng). See if you can send PMs.
If you decide to give them your password, change it to something that will not compromise any other account you have (many people share passwords between multiple accounts).
Thank you, I will take note. Would they need to get into my profile here to work out a solution. They wanted my login and password and I have been hesitant to do so.
If you are getting a 505 error, that is a usually a problem with browser configuration and or a proxy server. When you report this error, include your browser name and version (help->about will tell you this).
(If you are getting a 500, that is a different situation entirely)
