Tracker Suggestions

1. HEADACHE TRACKER
It would be really nice to add a tracker for migraines. It should include symptoms other than headache/aura for those of us with atypical migraines, such as hemiplegic migraine symptoms like muscle weakness and paralysis, loss of speech ability, or impaired consciousness. MyMigraineConnection.com has an excellent list including rare migraine types (basal, hemiplegic, abdominal . . . ) and their symptoms so you won't leave things out. There are a lot of people in the neurology forum who could really use a migraine tracker, to keep track of their symptoms and also how often they are taking their medicines, as overuse of some migraine medicines is a major concern which can lead to worsening of our condition.

2. SEIZURE TRACKER
An epilepsy tracker would be great for seizures too, and particularly for keeping track for late/missed doses of medications as well as sleep, as these are major triggers of seizures.  I know that there is a separate sleep tracker, but perhaps just putting a spot to note number of hours slept in the seizure tracker would be useful so people didn't have to cross-reference between two separate trackers to figure out if lack of sleep triggered a seizure.

3.  ABILITY TO ADD DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS TO VARIOUS TRACKERS
Also, a note on some of the other trackers. You have check boxes for taking medications but you can't fill in the name of your own medication and have it saved on your tracker so you can check it off each day that you take it. Would this be a terribly difficult feature to add?  I appreciate that the blood pressure tracker has been adapted to include people with low blood pressure, but some common meds for people with low blood pressure are still not on there.  (E.g., Fludrocortisone to retain water)

4.  ABILITY TO RECORD MULTIPLE READINGS PER DAY IN BLOOD PRESSURE TRACKER
Finally, for those of us with positional blood pressure disorders, blood pressure is often taken more than once per day. For example, I may take it once standing, once sitting, and once lying down in the morning before I've had my medication and then all three again in the afternoon once my medication is in effect. Is it possible to allow for multiple recordings each day for those of us who are required to track it that closely?  It would be best for me if there were no max per day, and I could just continue adding recordings as needed.

The Migraine Tracker is now available. You can add it from the Migraines & Headaches Community.

For the blood pressure readings, it is relevant to my doctor whether I was standing, sitting, or lying down because I have syncope and they need to see the changes in my heart rate and blood pressure that happen when I stand up which cause me to lose consciousness, and whether my medications are working well enough to prevent this.  Being able to label them AM, noon, PM also would be excellent because it would show whether the meds were in my system at the time or not, but I think if it's one or the other the position is most important.

For people with low blood pressure, many are on Midodrine and Fludrocortisone so having the Fludrocortisone on there would be greatly appreciated.  Many of us are also told to wear compression hose daily.  Could that also be added to the treatments section of the blood pressure tracker?  Compliance is a big issue with compression hose, but maybe if we tracked and saw that they made a difference we would be persuaded to wear them more often.  (They're hot and hard to get on and off.)

Thank you so much for all the suggestions! I'll try to address each of your suggestions below:

1. Headache Tracker: We're currently very busy trying to launch the pain and exercise trackers. I think elsewhere, it was noted that a pain tracker would likely not meet the needs of those with migraines or headaches. We're happy to add the symptoms and treatments associated with all different types of headaches to the pain tracker. If it still doesn't meet your needs after we launch, please write back and let us know what is missing.

2. We do have a seizure tracker on the list of to-do's. We'll let you know when it's available.

3. Allowing members to add different medications to various trackers is definitely a little more difficult to add. In the future, we'd like to aggregate the information across trackers, so our members can see what medications and treatments worked and what didn't. If our members add their own, we wouldn't be able to aggregate them as well. So for now, we'd be more than happy to add whatever meds you'd like added. You mentioned that you would like to add fludrocortisone to the blood pressure tracker. We'll get this added and let you know when it's available. If there are others, just respond to this thread and we can add those as well.

4. We have heard from many members that they would like to record multiple blood pressure values and we have it on our list of to-do's. To help us out, tell me if you just want to record the multiple readings or if you want to label each of them on a daily basis with standing, sitting, lying down, morning, afternoon.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
