Urinary incontinence
Urinary incontinence products typically occurs in kids that were previously dry. We see this regressive behavior in all sorts of
psychologicalChild neglect and psychological abuse or physical trama. An infection or separation anxiety when kids first start school are common examples. The infection sensitized her bladder and she is now voiding frequently without an infection. Unfortunately, if the infection was treated, and she has no structural problems, you may have to bear out the frequent urinating. It will resolve but it may take time. We usually do not treat children under school age (5) for incontinence/frequency/urgency since there is a high rate of spontaneous resolution. A visit to a pediatric Urologist would be best to evaluate her for other causes of frequency/urgency. If everything is negative the Urologist may consider treatment. Good Luck.
