I was told 3 years ago I needed surgery to repair a fallen bladder but never got it done due to no insurance I now have insurance but was just told this week I have kidney stones.  My question is are these related to the same problem and can the surgery take care of both problems.  I have been having pains in my back and side and this morning noticed that I have something coming out of my uterus could this be the bladder and do I need to contact my doctor today Sat. or can I wait until Mon.

Hi,  your bladder prolapse and kidney stones are two separate problems.  You will need to have the kidney stone handled first.  Flank pain could be a stone passing from the kidney to the bladder and will need to be evaluated and treated ASAP.  The dropped bladder only needs treatment if its causing symptoms, voiding problems, or is visible (bulging outside the vagina).  Good Luck
