I am surprised that a dermatologist would not be able to help. I think that someone in doubt would suggest a biopsy of the lesion to see what they are dealing with. I'd encourage you to look for a dermatologist at a majorMajor tears Major-gesic academic center (ie university hospital). Good luck!
