Dry Skin on outter ear. Do i have an infection?

I have had this dry skin for a few days.

Symptoms:
-Dry flaky skin on my left outter ear

I don't have pain, or itching.

Is this normal and will it go away by itself?

Hi,
How are you? Dry flaky skin in the outer ear may be caused by infection or skin conditions such as seborrhoeic eczema. Try to avoid scratching and cleaning the ear frequently to prevent secondary bacterial infection. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper management. A referral to an ENT doctor may also be beneficial. Take care and do keep us posted.
