Giardia in the lymphatic vessels of the eye

For treating Giardia lamblia in the lymphatic vessels of the eye could one use nitazoxanide and for how long? The infection is most likely chronic originating in the GI tract. Since it is in the lymphatic system and it’s been chronic I suspect I may need to take the medication for a longer period of time.
