I am very scared I have tetanus

About four weeks ago I got caught with some metal on my computer. I woke up a week later with really bad tachycardia in my sleep that went on for a few days until I went on a beta blocker.  Then I started to have more symptoms I started having spasms in my body they are  not extremely severe or painful. But I have extreme tightness in my neck in the front right now like somebody is strangling me all the time and trouble breathing at times. The paint in the front of my neck is so bad that I have to take muscle relaxer's Robaxin. My jaw keeps cracking and are on my body my wrists and knees keep cracking as well at times. I think the thing that bothers me the most is my neck because it feels like a snake is wrapped around my trachea at times  or just extreme pain in the muscles tightening so hard not like the kind you get with anxiety. I get extreme headaches sometimes. The muscles in my chest also tighten very very hard. I have never dealt with anything like this before and my dr. does not think it would be tetanus because I had a shot into  2012. I don't know what to do. I am in a lot of distress and pain.

Hi, and sorry you are feeling ill. I don't think you have tetanus. Firstly, the tetanus shot is usually good for about 10 years and then secondly if you live in the U.S. It is extremely rare here. So, then I wonder if you have any fever?

If you had a high fever 101 degrees F maybe you could have meningitis? Do you have an infection where you got caught with the metal? Or did that go away?

If you don't have a fever, did you do anything to injure your neck or back?

The cracking in the hands and so forth isn't usually anything dangerous.

Did any symptom other than the tachycardia (that you already are pron to) come on all of a sudden?

thanks,
mkh9
