I want to know!

my question is

1. If you are biten by a rabid dog..and then you complete your post exposure rabies vaccines complete course...will it supress the virus to not the cause the disease forever...or will it completely eradicate the virus from the body!

for example: herpes virus is never completely gone!
is that the case with the rabies casing virus?

please give extremely correct answers..

Oh, no if you get the vaccine the rabies virus is gone. You won't get it back or anything like that. It isn't in the same class as the herpes virus doesn't act like that. I just meant if you got bit again you need to get another vaccine because the vaccine doesn't last that long. The virus inactivates the virus and the body gets rid of it.

i am asking if you get the virus...does it live inside you forever...even if you get the vaccines...does the body ever completely eradicate the virus from the body..or does it stay at undetectable levels and never cause problems again...like hpv or herpes?

If you got the rabies vaccine on the day you got bitten and followed the vaccination schedule as they told you to do then you won't get rabies from this bite. But if you get bitten again it is not protective for life only for that one bite. So, no it does not get rid of the chance of getting it forever. You can get it the next time you get bitten.
