Klebsiella Oxytoca - antibiotic resistant superbug

Hi there,
Is anyone had UTI infected with Klebsiella Oxytoca in baby ? I have 9 month old have infected this bacteria and UTI misdiagnosed by the local GP.....which is very dissanpointing. Left my son in heavy growth of Klebsiella Oxytoca. Didn't give us antibiotics Nadi have told local GP my sons urine smells fishy and it's not normal also, head fever of 39C but he ignored me....

We went to see doctor onfriday 8 am and on the weekend mason got even sicker Anders up in hospital paediatric ER even worse they misdiagnosed son too...... Instead of treating the bacteria they give him one large dose of Bactrim antibiotics and he vomited out after couple of hrs and had severe allergic reaction from it.

I have been searching and reading about this bacteria and fricking out kidney damage and more antibiotics resistant. Ect...

Can anyone help me how to kill this bacteria in baby without trying too many antibiotics.

This bacteria resistant to Bactrim, Keflex and Augmentin duo and my son had reaction to Keflex and Bactrim.
His taking augmentin duo but his face swelling up bit...

Please help us.i need to treat this bacteria ASAP. His stool start smelling really bad so, not sure his Bactria spreading to his body or his having Colostrium difficile due to antibiotics use...

Any suggestion would've appreciated.
Manythanks

Sorry my message got lost. Is your child's swelling better or the same? If the same maybe you can stay the course of antibiotics until the urinary tract infection is clear? I am not sure it would be safe to give lots of cranberry juice to a child they are too young for that I think. It may cause their blood sugar to get too far off. How is he doing today?

This is a good article that explains the symptoms and why you child gets a urinary tract infection. It is fairly common to get.

If your child doesn't have diarrhea around 10 times a day then he most likely doesn't have Clostridium difficile.

Some children can carry C. difficile but it doesn't mean they have the disease. So if there is no diarrhea then I wouldn't worry about that. Here is an article on it.

For this bacteria I would have to look further for alternative choices in antibiotics. I don't know if there are any safe herbs for babies or very young children.  Let me know how he is doing.

Hi, I answered this question yesterday. Did you not get my message? It is too bad it was a long message. If not I will try to answer it again.
