MRSA
Is MRSA in the bloodstream contagious after being treated with antibiotics? This girl had it and said it was contagious if I came in contact with her blood. But it has been months. Is it possible for it still to be contagious?

Hi!
If MRSA has been treated then she cannot pass it on to you. However, if there is a benefit of doubt and she is still carrying MRSA in blood then yes, she can transmit it to you through blood contact. MRSA colonized in nose or sinuses usually do not infect a healthy person through casual contact or blood. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
