Please help!!!

I am a healthy 25 year old woman, my Husband had a boil for the first time in December 2009. Since then he has had many of them, mostly on his buttocks. I had my first boil in March. We both tested positive to having staph infections. He has been prescribed several anitbiotics and after the boils came back he was referred to a specialist and is now on special antibiotics for 12 months to try and rid his body of the infection.
I got the first boil in March 2010 and have had two since. I get them on my lower stomach area. I have just had one drained today at the doctors and he told me this one was much deeper in the tissue and was a carbuncle, not a boil.
I have looked up a lot on the internet in relation to staph infections, and have asked a couple of different doctors and nobody can really tell me why we have started getting them. We are very clean, I also disinfect all our laundry since this infection came up and we both eat quite healthy.
I am getting really frustrated and upset that nobody seems to know how to get rid of these infections for good and I am terrified that my 2 year old daughter is going to catch it.
Nobody else seems to realise just how painful these things are. Having my carbuncle drained this afternoon was the most painful thing I've been through since childbirth.
I know that staph apparently lives in the nostrils but how can it be caused by this when I've never had a problem before?!
This is really causing me to be depressed, I feel like I can't live my normal life, it is so painful and nobody seems to have any real answers or treatments, besides antibiotics.

Just to continue my story - I was in hospital last month as I had a breast reduction earlier this year and the staph infection had managed to get in to my surgery scars. I had a bright red lump under each breast that had to be cut open and drained under general anaesthetic. I was in hospital for three nights.
This is becoming a real nightmare, it is really affecting my life and I am also worried I am going to end up covered in horrible scars from these infections.
I haven't had an infection in 1 month now (fingers crossed) and I am using Microshield Antibiotic bodywash to try and prevent future infections. I am also taking a couple of natural supplements to try and boost my immune system.
Is there any other help of advice anyone can give me in regards to a Staph infection? I really don't want to keep MANAGING the problem, I was to FIX the problem. How do I find out the underlying cause of these infections???

Hi Dolly

See even i had the same problem but my problem started this year only, i never had these kinds of boils in my life and i know how painful it is, my boils always comes out in my back and its difficult to handle cannot wear my dress properly, these boils remain for atleast 10-12 days. My hubby has this problem first and now i am also having this problem, the only solution to it is like dont eat oily food and try to drink more and more water. The boils only happen because of body heat and sometime may be blood issue, like if ur sugar content increase in blood then also it happen and above all Antibiotics are very important u must take those and If u drink alcohol then try to less it(I am Sorry if u dont drink then please dont mind it) And eat healthy food. I hope it may help you but please do go to the doctors and continue the medicines.

Thanks
Shikha
