Hi,
How are you? Stridor is an abnormal, high-pitched, musical breathing sound heard when taking a breath and can be caused by a blockage in the throat or larynx.  Common causes include allergic reaction, abscess on the tonsils, airway injury, inflammation, secretions such as phlegm, swelling of the neck or face and even swollen tonsils or adenoids.  Further evaluation by a doctor  for proper diagnosis and to rule out life threatening issues as well. Additional diagnostic tests may also  need to be done to determine the underlying cause. Take care and regards.
