candida/systematic

Ok i didnt know where else to go seems like i couldnt find the yeast infection forum. I have had a rash on my testicles and on the tip of my penis and i have been given a cream three times by my doctor and to no avail. I have also had extreme stomach aches for years now and sometimes i feel feverish or like ima get sick and i dont, I have been check for HIV, and Herpes ans stds and nothing. Also on top of the insane painful stomach aches i feel my heart racing at times for no reason i have had this rash for months and month now and it doesn't go away. I have also been depressed for no reason for a while and now ive been very anxious i have socail anxiety and this came out of nowhere as i never dealt with it. Earlier this year i would feel tired and sleepy for no reason and now it comes and goes i work out and try and push myself. Im starting to think i have candida. I took antibiotics alot whern i was younger and once i took a cycle of them and apparently it didnt take and i was given more for the same thing and now im thinking even tho this happend alot of years ago maybe 6 years ago thats when the really werid and painful different stomach aches came about. Also i drank the other day and these white things formed around my mouth. I also had a finger fungus twice in the last year. I have read that stomach aches, rashes, toe infections, fatigue, anxiety and deprssion can all be a sign. Im going back to the doctor on friday but i was wondering if there is pill i can take my dcotor didnt want to give me one since i was on anti anxiety but i have stopped brcause i dont want to take those deadly things anymore, I was also wondering after i take diflucan how fast i can expect this fungal rash on my penis to disappear, also i was wonder if a blood test has to be done or if the fierst one i did is enough or do they have to look for it specifailly. Also after the anti biotic i was thinking about taking probtiocs which i am atm but i  think i have a candisis, can anyone tell me what other signs there are and if they have dealt with this before ?

also now i have been feeling tightness in my chest like if i had worked out like idk where its coming from, the anxiety is going away for the most part. But all this week i had intense headaches that even caused me to feel weird and dizzy. I had trouble focusing and also had blurred vision, i have checked my eye sight and it is not the issue, my doctor has given me diflucan 4 pills told me to take them one week apart 150 mg, i have a fear that this isnt enough. My anxiety has gone away some and im feeling slightly better about that but i still have some issues. I started taking proboitcs but idk what to do i feel like im slowly dying because my doctor doesnt hear all my spmtoms. SHould i go to a nutrients doctor or a infectious disease doctor for more help ? also i have had trouble sleeping the last year and ahalf  i wake up like three times at night, i have takent he diflucan just ince and about to take it again second week tuesday(doctor told me a week apart) my bowels have gotten better since im eating alot better but my bowels look really weird really soft, and with red and even something looking like corn kindve, when i havent eaten corn is this from the medication?

arent alll the prodicts like black walnut and raw farlic ok to take anyways since garlic has been proven to be great for a measure of things just liek apple cidar vinegar ?also im going to give ur diet a try, just i love to eat bread and i also love relaxing with alcohol =(.I also read things get worse before they get better, liek the die off effect. But i understand what your saying. I also have had pains in like my upper right rib cage area like i guess where it starts on both sides but usually on my right side its been going on for years. Im worried its my gallbladder. It hurt the other day that i couldnt evem bend down. I also had this years ago and took a ultrasound and nothing was found, is there anything organically or vitamins i should take to help my liver and gallbladder. i take a multivitamin but im intrestedt in anything else natrually or vitamins i can take apart that can aid both the liver and gallbaldder

Sure raw garlic is good for the immune system. walnuts in general are good, or any kind of nuts.Too much vinegar is not good as in drinking it. But as a salad dressing it is a good daily or twice a day topping. The upper right pain under the ribs can be a lot of things. One is does it hurt when you breath in? Or is it tender to touch? The hurting when you bend sounds more like the gall bladder or liver. I would definitely get that checked. That may be causing a lot of your problems if that is what is going on.  As for vitamins if you go on the diet totally without meat or milk products (no animal products) after about 1-2 years you will need vitamin B12 supplement.  Have you had your vitamin D tested? If you haven't you should have that tested and your TSH (to check your thyroid).

You may want to also get your liver enzymes, amylase and lipase done and a general metabolic panel if you haven't had that done.

do you know if things like candidagone actually work, i have read that raaw garlic, pau d arko, black walnut, apple cidar vinegar, raw coconut oil, and other things like grapefruit seed extract and all are great anti-fungal natural sources, they shouldnt produce side effects like diflucan etc, anyways the candidagone and others like it have all these in the ingridents but i keep reading is that you shouldnt take all this things together and take one for about 5 days then change to another etc.I have candidia, I have leaky gut syndrom certain foods make me feel worse its clear now, also if i stay away from carbs like heavy bread and grains and sugar i feel great then i have bread and ill start getting pains in my abdomen ill get cramps corn like substance in my stool, heavy bloating and headaches and fogginess etc. That with all my other systoms and the toe infection twice now and the rednes sin my privates im convinced i do, any idea on thise products or if i should just change my diet best i can( althoug so so rough it seems like i cant be a regualr person) and also take one of those items then swtich every 5 days like ive read

Yes I don't know about that particular product. But I have had another person try some of those things and he got worse. So it is better to figure out what is going on rather than just treating your self. He found out the hard way.  The diet I am on that I told you about you don't eat bread, but you can have whole grains like rice etc. and no flour products. So, I wonder if that would help. You check to see if you have any auto immune issue but I doubt it. It sounds more like a intestinal issue. Also,  maybe some skin issues like eczema and so forth.

The problem is you have already tried several antifungals and they had Azole at the end right? The Lotrimin's active ingredient also has clotrimazole (azole at the end) this means it is in the same class as the other ones you had. So it probably won't work. So if I were you I would go straight for the Lamisil (terbinifine).

oh ok good thinking, yes i have used things like nysatin from prescribtion strength
hey mkh9, i have tried lamisil and it doesnt seem to be working. ANything else you know that i could try ?IM sttarting to think ima have this reddish skin on my testicles and the foreskin on the tip of my penis forever.
Hi, So have you tried it for at least a week or two? If so then it may not be a yeast or fungus. Most dermatopytes (such as those that cause joch itch) will also be killed by Lamisil. But there may be some strains that are resistant. You may need to get a culture done or have a doctor look at it. The slightly high white count you had points to a bacterial infection. Maybe you have some type of staph or folliculitis type. Do you notice if it follows the hair follicles or is yellowish in color? Any crusty look to it or  how would you describe the appearance? Such as round circular white bumbs the size of a pin point or larger? Do you have insurance yet? If you do you may want to try to get into a dermatologist. Not a physician assistant. See if they can figure this out.
Hi, the skin just looks red, like a line down the middle of my scrotum, and then both sides of the scrotum are red. There are now liek veins looking things running on my testicles kind of how woman get the spider viens on their legs. The skin almost looked burned when i dont shine a light to it. I might start a new job and should have Health insurance around feb. or march. My forskin looks like normal an when i start to pull the forskin back it doesnt hurt or anything. But its look flaky and like its wrinlking and sometimes red. I havent had any yellowness in either parts of my body. Is it possible that its a yeast infection that has become immune to evevrey thing i can throw at it ?Also the high white blood test was from november and i had another blood test in june or july and that one i actually review i was normal under the range.Im really nervous or scared ima have this forever =( ,,, any natural remedies u think can help .
It may not be a yeast. There are some resistant yeasts but they are not resistant to everything. These other strains are sensitive to Terbinafine. So, I am wondering if you have a dermatitis such as a allergy to something. So, I think a dermatologist would be your best bet at this point.
i cant think of anything that has changed in the last year, for instance my soap fabric softner and shampoo are all the same, and i have always used the same cotton type boxer briefs.
What about any medications?
No just the dilflucan that my doctor gave me, Also i ate very poorly this weekend. I had pizza and not only did i get a very abd stomach ache with bad bowel movement but the stool was very soft and it looked like it had like a clear paper like subtance and yello corn looking like cheese in it, i have read that that is from the candidia ? do you know anything about this. Do you believe in candidia or overgrowth of bad yeast inside of us. My doctor doesnt believe that can happen nd he doesnt believe that all my problems are from yeats overgrowth. Yet i have had two fungal infections in my toenail twice in last year, extreme anxiety, and depression lack of sleep and energy and also bad bowel and constipation and stomach pains. I havent been as anxious or depressed since i started eating no sugar or very little less then 10 grams a day if that and less carbs. Also i was sleeping alot better. But i fell off the wagon this weekend. Also the yeast infection in my privaates wont go away.He was shocked i got off the benzo and that im doing better, he claimed that he knew i was going thru a faze and i didnt need them long term. Things actually got worse for me in life but started eating better and a more strict diet and yet things interanlly got better. My reason for telling you all this is because i have been usuing organic cocount oil,raw garlic, black walnut and other organic stuff to digest to help kill off the bad yeast while taking probiotics in the morning to replenish my good bacteria. My point is i have heard of people getting rid of their penile or vagina yeast infection by diluting some of the things mention above along with apply cidar vinegar or yogurt to organically cure the yeast infection on skin. Any knowledge about this,? i took the diflucan and it was too late i just had it last month after going to the doctor 6 times in last year with the private area being effected not getting any better.
I don't believe that you have a systemic (blood type infection) of a bacterial or yeast overgrowth. But you can get your intestinal or vaginal bacteria overgrown with the wrong type of bacteria and that can cause problems. Some times the skin may get bad bacteria because you don't have enough "friendly" good bacteria for example or good fatty acids on it to fight off fungi. There is a balance of good natural bacteria in some parts of the body but some parts of the body are normally sterile like the blood, bone, body fluids like spinal fluid and bone marrow etc. , the brain is sterile. The eyes are not sterile they have a couple of bacteria that usually are on the skin but when you get the wrong one in the eye you get an infection. Also, we have many natural or "innate" immunity in our bodies. Some simple ones are the skin where it keeps out foreign viruses and bacteria until you get a cut. The mouth and eyes and stomach have enzymes that can kill bacteria.  The vagina has a certain Ph that allows certain bacteria to grow and not others and so when that gets disrupted by women using douches or too many new sex partners they get bacterial vaginosis. So the list goes on. As to what you said, keeping your immune system up by eating a healthy diet is good for the "innate immune system." garlic and onions are good for that as well as eating a whole plant based diet instead of a lot of acidic foods like meat and dairy. There is  a lot of data on this. So you may have a reaction when you eat bad foods that are greasy like pizza or whatever. I also think you didn't digest the food well. Hence the corn like substance or cheese looking stuff in the stool.  I think it is fine to eat vinegar instead of oily salad dressings but I wouldn't eat it as a large amount as a drink. It is not good to drink that much of it and it is bad for your teeth. So rinse after having a good leafy green salad with vinegar. Nuts are very good for you but they are very high calorie dense foods. So be aware of that. If you are having these problems and want to switch your diet you may want to read the Starch Solution by Dr. McDougall or watch the video Forks over Knives. It is a whole plant based diet using natural foods but no fat or very low fat. So oils are out and too much sugar is very bad. These diets  lower inflammation, and has a lot of evidence for helping many people with various health problems. Of course it helps significantly with Cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease but also with intestinal problems and various other inflammatory issues. Something to think about. You don't want to stay on a probiotic too long. Your normal bowel bacterial will change too much and can actually cause problems. It is supposed to be a supplement after taking an antibiotic or you can eat yogurt but there isn't much in yogurt to change any thing. So it isn't worth the acidic milk product that is actually bad for your bones. That is my opinion after much reading. I don't know if I answered your question but this is what I think.
how long should i take a probiotic, i thought it was ok to take forver, ive taken it maybe now 3 months. Im going to def. eat healthier and stay away from sugar for a while just really tough. And also the penile yeast infection or rash is major annoying and been there now a year pretty much. But its also happen to look liek candidia in stool pictures.
also ive been thinking of doing a colon cleanse, any comments about that? ive never done one and im 30 years old. also ive eaten alot of fast food and pizza in my life and drinking plenty of alcohol. Im in good shape tho as now i rarely eat fast food even when i did i never seemed to get fat and now i worked out 4-5 times a week, do you think it would benefit me to do a colon cleanse if so how long an dknow any good brands ?
Hi, switch to Stevia that is what I did. I feel better because I don't get the wild swings in sugar highs and lows.  Yes you definitely need to see maybe a dermatologist about the penile situation. I don't think it is a yeast it may be something else. But, have you been given oral terbinafine? How is your liver? You can't take it orally if your liver enzymes are high.  I don't think you should really take a probiotic all the time. The inestinal bacteria is supposed to be mostly anaerobic (bacteria that grow without oxygen) 1000:1 to aerobic (those that grow with oxygen). It can actually get over populated with the probiotic to some degree and throw off your normal stool flora. So, it is good after antibiotics, and if you have a problem but otherwise I wouldn't really take one. That is my opinion on them.
I don't really believe or disbelieve in a colon cleanse once in a great while. But you really don't need it if you change your diet as the bacteria will change with the diet. If you drastically change your diet (which we did). Then you have to do it slowly. Then the intestinal bacteria can get used to the change. The bacteria actually change (for the better) if you go vegan and low fat. I'm not trying to talk you into this but just telling you why in case you are interested at some point. What happens is that the bacteria change and it makes it harder to allow cholesterol into the blood stream so your cholesterol can't clog your arteries. There are studies which show by antiogram that you can reverse atherosclerosis by the diet we are on. It is hard to change. I ate meat all my life. But we did it for health reasons and so far I am weight lifting and doing well. So, it is interesting how the body works. It is a fine line keeping your immunity up to fight things off. If you eat poorly and don't exercise and don't sleep well it is bad for your immunity. I'm glad you exercise. Just try to adjust your diet The worst of the sugar cravings do go away after about a month. Anyway, those are my opinions on these things. If interested in more information I can message you. Otherwise I will try to get off my soap box.
yes please message me, yea i def. feel better with a better diet. I guess i got by because i was younger. Just bothers me that i would get dizzy and headache and like foggy about maybe a month ago and i started quickly trying to cut sugar and carbs( as uch as possible its alot tougher) because i thought it was candidia. I mean for thankgiving i still had dessert. gotta enjoy things in life. I was just so worried because i did have alot of alcohol when i was younger and never took probitotcs after antibiotics and believe me i took them alot when i was a kid and in my early 20's. Then the what look like a yeast infection. O i forgot i mention i did had little red bumps on the head of my penis when i first went to see the doctor thats why he gave me the diflucan after the creams didnt work, he tested me for stds jic and i came out clean the red bumps went away but they were painful and the foreskinw as tough to move back, also a white cream came every now and again the past year seems odorless but i havent had it in a while that i can think of.Also wanted to take time out again and say thanks for eveything you have answered every thing ive asked and just talking to someone here that appears to have some knowledge its a huge huge deal to me.
hey i recently saw about a week ago a article by a so called expert and said on thsi article that candida is hard to detect but the spit test is one althought not 100% accurate, i did it and i failed. also it said that  IgG, IgA, and IgM. High levels of these antibodies indicate that an overgrowth of Candida is present. is this true becasue when i did the blood work in the hospital over a year ago i  it says my % immature granuloctyes were high and abs neurtoopholis and abs immature granuloctyes were all high is this the saem thing ?my PH level says it was on the bottom of the range given. online it says 6.5 is low and my chart from the blood work stated that i had a 5-9 is ok i was at 5 that was in june
I don't think the test is accurate. I don't see how you can tell if there is overgrowth of anything by an antibody test unless they are specifically looking for that yeast such as C. albicans.   It is more worrysome that your immature granulocytes and neutrophils were high. Was that on a complete blood count? How high were they compared to the normal range? I would go by your normal range for the Ph. So it is normal.
I guess I can give you the diet information on here. Since I already gave you information on everything else.  I will send it tomorrow. But it a whole plant based diet. You eat carbs instead of meat. Very little if any sugar. No oil or only what is naturally in the food. If that is what you want to try I can give you several things to read about it. Well, one is the DVD Forks over knives. Then there is the China Study by Colin Campbell, Also, the Book called the Starch Solution by Dr. McDougall, that is the one that gets you started on the diet and understanding it. Also, a recipe book by Forks over Knives is good. There are other things but those are starters. There is also a website:
https://www.drmcdougall.com/health/education/free-mcdougall-program/steps-to-recovery/fruits-vegetables/
But you may lose weight not gain weight unless you eat enough starch and calories. At your age you generally have a high metabolism. So, let me know what you think.

thanks a million you have been amazing help means alot to me, any good brands you recommend ?

also i recently started a job and you would think my axniety would get worse, I have stayed away from sugar and trying to not drink and eat as many carbs( that feed candidia) and just like that my blood pressure is going down and my anxiety is vanishing without medication, also my severe stomach aches. I thinkn i started getting bad bacteria taking over since i took two bouts of anti biotics like 6 years ago in matter of one after the other.

If you have any problems with it see your doctor of course. Follow the package insert for use. I think it is twice a day for about a week or two. If it goes away then use it about two more days. Be sure to wash your hands after each use.

Well, you can have overgrowth of bacteria but we have normal bacteria that competes with bad bacteria . When you get an infection with a "bad" bacteria then it is an infection. You can get an overgrowth of a common skin bacteria that takes over if you have an abrasion or your immunity is low. Also, a change in environment. For example I just got a sinus problem. It isn't an infection as I don't have a fever and no pus etc. But I have a bloody nose for a week and yellow stuff coming out and I can't breath. The culture had mixed Staph bacteria (which is normal bacteria). I got it because I was in a hotel and my nose got dried out from the A/C. "some thing off set the normal conditions". I am now taking a topical antibiotic to get rid of the bacterial "overgrowth" and heal the bloody crusty sores. It is really a dermatitis. So you could have something like that but maybe it is due to a fungus such as a yeast or dermatophyte (skin fungus) . What happens is there is too much moisture from either not drying well enough in the groin or feet area so they call it joch itch or athletes foot etc. and you then allow fungus that is normally in the environment to grow where it doesn't normally take over. Also, washing too much gets rid of the protective fatty layer on the skin that keeps fungus from taking over. So, the thing to do is use Terbinafine, which the fungus isn't resistant to like the other Fluconazoles and so forth are. Make sure you keep the area dry and wash all towels, underwear etc . that came in contact so you don't reinfect yourself. It is possible that is what is going on. If not you can try a dermatologist.

No I haven't heard of these treatments. Diabetics crave sugar. Have you been tested? They also get fungal infections. I still don't think it is systemic. Self medicating never is a good thing, especially without a diagnosis. It can make you a lot worse off.

someone told me to take virgin coconut oil for candida overgrowth says its fatty acids actually hurt and destroy the walls of candida. ever heard anything about this ? or what kind i should use i went out and bought it but like in cream type form. Its hard to take a tablespon daily, would this one work ?

Yes that looks a little high but not too bad. You may have a bacterial infection or fungal. But I don't think it is systemic. Have you taken your temperature when you feel feverish? Since you don't have insurance why don't you try the Lamisil (terbinifine cream) and see if that works. It is different than the other creams. So, I hope this works.

thanks for replying im really at lost with things and how my doctor has treated me.

I have been given three prescibtion creams of different types none have worked. ALso i work out and i have not taken anti anxiety meds for almost three months and i havent been able to sleep for a year and a half i wasnt on those meds before then. Also anything i eat makes me feel bad not as much lately but im really really eating differently. I have been tested for allergires, chron disease, ulcers and other stuff and nothing has been found. I feel like im going to get a fever and never do and i take advil when i feel that. I also had a blood test two done and my whote blood cell coun t was high. I havent had anything with caffeine for over a year i mean nothing, no soda no coffee not even excedrin. I did the spit test where you take water in the morning and then u spit into it and wait to see if it runs and has legs like wine or sits at the bottom, many blogs and forums state to do this, and it did also my stool has white flakes in it like garlic or piece of skin when you start to peel left behind after i flush, and sometimes peieces that look like corn, no i havent had corn.

systemtic candida causes: pain or tightness in chest, depression, mood swing, anxiety, pressure in head, dizziness, fatigue, lack of sleep, craving for sweet(which i have been fighting and dont eat), stomach pains, abdonminal pain, etc i have all of these, i dont know who to go see i lost my job just started a new one so i dont have coverage and im broke but still should i go to a hospotail since they can bill me and i can pay little by little. or a infectious disease speiclist.

Hi and sorry you are having all these issues. We are not doctors on here but I am a microbiologist and can try to give you some advice. So, regarding the rash on the genitals, you may have a fungus and not a yeast. Either way you may want to try a anti-fungal spray or cream that has terbinafine (Lamisil) instead of one that ends in azole like fluconazole etc. These types of drugs that end in azole yeasts are becoming resistant to. Also, often the groin and genitals get joch itch caused by a fungus called Tinea or another name  is a dermatophyte. This cream should work on those too. You could see if the doctor can culture the area to determine what it really is. But in the mean time you can try the Terbinafine and see if that works. It takes about a week or two (several times a day). Follow the package directions.
As for anxiety in general, you may want to take a couple of courses in biofeedback instead of drugs. I took them from integrative medicine. They have great specialists in this. It takes some time to learn the breathing exercises but it helps your body change out of the fight or flight response and feel a lot better.

I don't think it is a systemic or blood infection. You generally would have a high fever and be very sick. If you had a blood culture they don't generally look for fungus unless you ask for that. They won't usually do it unless you have a high fever.
Your heart racing could be from the medications you were/are on or if you are off of the pills such as the Xanax, stress could cause some of this, caffiene and too much sugar. But then you could get a 24 hour monitor to check for an arrhythmia, or also get a echocardiogram to look for structural problems and an EKG just to get an overview of the heart.

I think your anxiety is keeping you up at night or if you are also having too much sugar or caffiene then this could contribute too. Try to do some relaxation techniques as I mentioned (biofeedback) also, relaxation meditation. This doesn't have to be regular mediation but they have CD's you can download and listen to that help you relax.

As for your bowels if it isn't blood I wouldn't worry about it if it is possibly blood get tested for at least an occult blood test. If you think it is blood then get a colonscopy. Bowel movements change a lot depending on what you eat, how much water, and yest medications can change things too.

take care,
mkh9
