HLA B27 is ordered to check for:

ankylosing spondylitis (AS), reactive arthritis. Reactive arthritis can be an infection in the joints. Ankylosiing spondylitis is a type of chronic spinal arthritis. So, another way is to use a need and take a sample from the joint and culture it or do PCR to see if you have an infection there. But this is less invasive.  The reactive arthritis is not really an autoimmune disease but the ankylosing spondylitis is. So I 'm not sure how they can differentiate which one it is from this test it is more of a screen for both then they would go from there.

Try these, they are free. The first two are the same one. It requires and I phone or Ipad but it will give you an idea anyway of what I am talking about. the third link you can play on your computer.

both are good. Best to have a practitioner show you but these are good if you don't have one near by.

I can look for one on line to see if they have one that can teach you. But basically you breath in with the belly instead of the lungs. So you can place your hand on the belly and one on the lungs to see how you breath now. If you breath from the lungs then you can practice for 10 minutes breathing from the belly slow deep breaths that raise your belly and lower it. You count to about 5 as you breath in and the belly goes out and to 6 as you breath out and the belly goes in. There is a slight hesitation as you change from in to out but not out to in. I'll take a look so you can know the speed. Once you do it at the right speed then you can practice twice a day 10 minutes. If you feel your hands tingle or feel weird stop. Try again another time. Also, walking is good, if you haven't walked just start out with what ever time you can do 10 minutes and add on as you get used to it. When I started I could only walk across the street. Now I do hills and 2 miles. It actually took my back pain down.

I had/have back pain as well. It goes down my leg as well. I walk every day and that has helped a lot. Stretching helps too. I went to a integrative medicine doctor who had me go to biofeedback breathing exercises for anxiety and that really helped. I think that would help you too. You have to learn how to breath and that will lower the fight or flight response. It takes a few months to go away and it does help. I have a link to one but I'll have to find it. I wish I could find the one she gave me but I don't know where it is. The best way is to have someone monitor you and teach you how to do it. The walking is the best to me for the lower back pain.

That is great news. Thalassemia minor can cause weakness due to the anemia but I haven't read that it causes leg pains. Did your doctor say they were going to treat the anemia?

I get oil from ground flaxseed for one thing and olives and avacado. Natural sources. All plant based and healthy. My husband and I both eat a whole plant based diet with lots of whole grains and nuts and so forth. My husband lost 30 pounds. He was 210 lbs and is now around 175. Both of our cholesterol and blood pressure dropped and blood sugar.  There have been many studies on this particular diet, Dr McDougall who was a cardiac surgeon has reversed many diseases on this diet. Also, you can see the video Forks over Knives. It is interesting. The book the china study is good by Dr. Colin Campbell and  Dean Ornish is another one that has lots of data. Anyway it is a life choice. We still get about 60mg of protein in our diet and don't eat animal products. Instead we eat Soy milk or almond milk for our cereal.

i am going to start losing weight...i think my weight had caused all these problems....i will start eating ot of leafy vegetables in salad and fruits so that i can loose weight fast.......at one point of time i was 115 kgs almost 1,5 years back... but then i stopped pizzas and burgers ...but i still eat alot of fried and non veg food almost daily....i think this is a warning for me......and if i will not do something my life will become hell.....i am really thankful to god that he had given me friendly advisor like you...please be in touch...it is my personal advice dont eliminate oil completely from you diet.....because oil helps in lubricating our joints.....as per ayurveda...the people who eat less oil have more joints problems then those who consume more oil.....take some hot oilve oil and rub it on your joints where you feel pain every night before going to sleep.....i bet that within 30 days.....you will feel the difference......above all take 1/4th table spoon turmeric powder and mix it well in 1 hot glass of milk and consume it in night before going to bed and do this for 4 days regularly...you will feel the difference......

Regards

It would help if you lost a lot of weight. You BMI is too high. You should weight 150 lbs or 68kg to have a better BMI. This would put less weight on your knees and hips. I switched to a whole plant based diet no added oil. If interested message me. But you can do it any way you want.  We just found that we were able to stay on this diet once we got used to it. But it takes work. Exercise like walking or swimming are good exercises for you. Start small and increase little by little. The anemia the doctor should treat and you will feel a whole lot better.

Osteoarthritis isn't caused by an infection. It is a wear and tear or wearing down type of thing. If that is what the Xray means. I would ask the doctor to be sure.

This may be osteoarthritis of the knees. I have it in my hips. You would have to ask the doctor to be sure that "narrowing" means osteoarthritis (OA). It usually means that the buffering or cushioning that keeps your knees from grinding is getting low so that you will start feeling pain. Some things that may help are to not jog or do things that  "pound the pavement"  , lose weight and then there may be some new injections that are something like stem cells or where they take some cells from your joints grow more up in the lab and inject them back into your knees so that you won't run out of the protective layer. Eventually you will get bone on bone grinding that will really hurt. This is assuming you have OA. it sounds like it. I was told not to jog or play tennis any more. But it can still progress for me too.
